My Sister’s Baby Shower

My little sister, Marissa is having a baby! So I jumped at the chance to throw her a shower.

Unfortunately, I didn’t get photos of everyone who pulled this day off. I was overwhelmed by the hard work so many were willing to do for the love of my sister. These are some of the amazing people that worked their butts off to make my crazy ideas happen! Susie Q, Leata, our mom, and Lorraine.

Some of the details…

Everything on the menu was tiny. Baby burgers, baked mac & cheese in baby food jars, veggie cups, guacamole bruschetta

And some tiny, sweet treats too. Mini lemon cupcakes, Snickerdoodles, baby strawberry shortcake, and vanilla bean ice cream cups

I love you sis and can’t wait to be an Auntie to your sweet little baby!

Minnie Mouse Birthday Party

Vienna turned 2!

She is in love with Minnie, so there was really no other option for her party theme. Here are the invites

Each child received minnie or mickey ears to wear.

The kids colored Minnie pictures.

We served waffles, sausage, tater tots and berry cups. And my mom still had that Mickey waffle iron after all these years! I found a tasty way to make egg/dairy free waffles, that everyone would want to eat. And made way too many, my freezer is packed!

All I want for Christmas is my….

She made it! We had been working on that 2nd top tooth for weeks, all to be able to sing that silly song. And she did it just in the nick of time. December 23rd, 2 twists and voila!

Halloween 2010

Every Halloween we go to the Smith’s and trick or treat with all or kiddos. Its always a blast.

Minnie Mouse. She can say it too. I need to record that. She was very proud of those ears and wore them the whole time.

Our little kitty. Which if you know her, this is the perfect costume for her. Everyday she says,”Lets play kitties!” My mom did an amazing job making her furry costume.

The librarian. All her own idea. Just had to come up with what a librarian would look like. I think she’s pretty cute! Did you dress up or do you leave that for the kids?

Halloween Family Night

Our dinner was mummy dogs,with spider web dip, sweet potato jack o lanterns, and apple fangs.

While dinner was cooking Kiara and Melania were in their room getting dressed for the event. I assumed the would come out in some costumes. Melania wore a dress and said she was a princess.

Kiara wore her bathrobe and said she was a Vetrinarian. Any excuse to wear her robe! She loves that thing.

Birthday at the Pumpkin Patch

This makes me happy….

I LOVE Fall! I love the colors, the weather, the fashion, and the pumpkins.

I got to wear my birthday boots. (A story will follow another time)

Melania was walking down the pumpkin aisle pretending to be a bride.

I missed having my biggest girl at Melania’s field trip, so we had to go again!

We went to the Big Fresno Fair and got in free for bringing in canned food.

Take One Last Look At This Belly!

Today is the day!  My C-section is at 9:30 this morning. Please pray for me if you think of it! I asked Brian to do a post for me later so more to come to come soon! Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Our Last Saturday as a Family of 4

We had been trying to think of something fun to do today as it was our last full day together before the baby. I wanted to do something outdoors and since I’m 9 months pregnant, am feeling a little limited to say the least. We have been needing to go to our storage unit, which is Oakhurst, so we decided to make it into a fun day trip.

Then we went to Sierra Meadows golf course, where my Uncle is the General Manager. We borrowed golf carts and drove around the whole course and then hit some balls at the driving range. The weather was beautiful, everyone was in a great mood, and the girls had a blast. Not to mention it was FREE!

After golfing, we headed to our favorite diner up there, called Pete’s Place. Such a great day! What did you do this weekend?

Snow Day

On Monday we headed to Shaver to play in the snow. We didn’t make it very far due to weather conditions, so we pulled over on the side of the road to play.

Melania was content eating the snow. Since we brought our sled, we just
pulled the girls around on it so they would feel like they got a ride.
It was a short trip due to it snowing. It was beautiful and freezing!

We ended the day with warm clothes and Me N Eds pizza, then left the girls
with grandma and grandpa for our date night. Perfect Day!
