Family Fiesta

7 May

In honor of Cinco de Mayo, this week’s family night was a Mexican Fiesta.
Our extended family, the Wests joined us for the shin-dig.

The kids made maracas: decorated, bean filled paper plates. We made tissue
paper flowers the day before for centerpieces. I’d never made them before, and
was a little skeptical, but they turned out really cute.

Nice try getting Jack and Melania to pose. Poor Kiara. She missed most of the
fun. She was obviously not feeling well and went to bed early. This was the best
pose I could get from her too.

Sorry guys. Not great pics of the grown ups. Dinner was great. It was a group
effort of chicken enchiladas, taco salad, quesedillas,  mango  salsa,  & margaritas.
For dessert,  Dulche de  Leche  ice cream with  cinnomon sugar chips.
Great food. Great Friends. How did you celebrate Cinco de Mayo?
